Description
The product is a human isotype and agonistic antibody that binds to human CD40. It has the ability to induce an increase in the expression of CD95 on the cell surface. The encoded protein is a receptor on antigen-presenting cells of the immune system and is critical for mediating multiple immune and inflammatory responses, including T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation. CD40-related disorders include hyper-Igm immunodeficiency, type 3, and hyper-Igm immunodeficiency, type 1.
