Description
Provided is an aglycosylated humanized anti-Bb (AAfBb) antibody includes a modification at a conserved N-linked site in the CH2 domains of an Fc portion of the antibody. AAfBb antibody is a specific inhibitor of the AP and does not inhibit or activate the classical pathway. AAfBb antibody binds to Bb so as to prevent cleavage of Factor B to produce Bb when present in the complex PC3bB.
